Hapkido Self-Defense Training

Our Hapkido self-defense program is similar to women’s self-defense training but focuses on practical Hapkido techniques such as flipping, breaking away from holds, sweeping an attacker to the ground, and controlling or restraining an individual to prevent harm. Students also learn joint locks and limb control techniques for real-world self-protection when necessary. This class builds confidence, awareness, and the ability to respond effectively in high-stress situations.

Class Hours

Fridays from 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM. Private lessons available by appointment on Saturdays and Sundays.


Classes are held at Louisville Tang Soo Do. Wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothing, and we’ll fit you right into a Hapkido class—no prior experience required.
